The series!

Mon Aug 17, 2009, 3:18 PM
  • Mood: Lazy
  • Listening to: Silent Hill: Not Tomorrow (Piano arrangement)
  • Reading: The Hobbit
  • Watching: Courage the Cowardly Dog
  • Playing: (need suggestions for video games please)
  • Eating: NUTRAGEOUS! KING SIZE!
  • Drinking: Milk
I'm starting a series! This series will be a roundabout opinion that I have about anything that you want! You can ask my opinion on anything between worldly issues, people, relationships, friends, events, or jell-o pudding pops! I don't care!

Opinions will be given on a first come first serve basis. I'll be doing one per day, and since I'm so bored and Chris Raub won't offer to play Munchkin at his house, I'll do one of these per day, and two a day ONLY IF I have to skip a day ;)

I have an opinion about anything, so please ask me of my opinion! My response will hopefully not only meet your standards but even go above and beyond anything you had ever imagined.

In addition, if I feel productive enough I will most certainly post my own opinions about certain things that piss me off and bother me about this wretched and broken American society.

PV, you told me about how you've been writing so I read some. You have gotten very good at writing. I really had to sit and think after reads some of the stuff you wrote. Very deep. Inspiring. I connected well to "The Cost of Education".
On a side note, I miss you being in my lunch waves. Those were fun times.

You honestly have no idea how much I miss high school. Those times were so awesome, and I hope this coming year for me will be a lot better socially. No matter how hard I try, I find it extremely difficult to relate with the limited community here at Quinnipiac University. All of the BMW's, Marcedes, Jaguars, Audi's, and Cadillacs in the parking lot, along with the friendly yet "I'm better than you" attitudes turn me off greatly. I have met, out of the over 6,000 students at the school, a group of less than 30 that actually gives a shit about the world's issues, informing themselves on those issues, and then attempting to find ways to fix those issues. What's worse, is that some of the students I have met in class, are extremely closed-minded. One person in particular in my QU201 class, named Mike, said, "I hate Democrats and anyone who is Liberal because they took away my rights and now I only have half of the inheritance that I had 2 months ago." When I heard this, I wanted to punch him in the face and say, "What the fuck are you talking about? I don't even have an inheritance, and you're going to cry about only having "half of the inheritance? Really? REALLY NOW." This, to me, is sheer and utter selfishness and greed, and is a grievance. This attitude of "not being satisfied and thankful for what I have" also floats around the school.
In classrooms, there is little class participation, and it is often that I find myself answering all of the questions in class without any word from anyone else sitting by me. Mind you, these are 25-30 student classrooms, which are extremely small. In addition to the class participation, I couldn't tell you the names of more than 5 of my classmates in any given course. Nobody in any of the classes knows my name, nor do I know theirs. I think this is important because it shows the attitude of the classmates as being apathetic and dismissive.
I have much more to express about this issue of mine, but I think I've used enough space on one comment.

Lol it's not that I have to take my time, I received a new printer for christmas, the thing is, I'm too lazy to hook it up. More likely than not though, that printer will have to get working within the next week because of the English class I have at 8AM in the morning D:
